Formerly Heirloom, Kent Monkan has re-invented the restaurant and it is now a casual bistro. The same charm prevails because of the 1880s bar that was made in NYC for The Brass Rail Restaurant in Midtown. During Prohibition it was dismantled, then assembled for use in a New Jersey tavern. It made its way to Long Island and was used in a restaurant at this location. And now, after all these years it is once again the focal point of Kent's restaurant.
